Christmas 2014 Forecast

Christmas Eve - Christmas Eve should see temperatures around average for this time of year. Much of the day will be cloudy with sunny spells. Remaining dry throughout with maximum temperatures of around 7°C, there should be no effect on those last minute present dashes. The evening will be cloudy but dry, temperatures on the mild side at 4°C. Conditions should then continue to be cloudy but dry in the run up to midnight, with temperatures slightly higher than average for this time of year.

Christmas Day - Father Christmas's present delivery over Dudley and the Black Country will encounter no weather problems with temperatures on the mild side. Conditions overnight will be dry but cloudy. Winds should be light, with infrequent gusts. An overnight low of 3°C should reduce any risk of frost. Christmas morning will be mostly cloudy with the chance of a few prolonged spells of sunshine here and there. The day will continue in the same form with a maximum temperature of 6°C, so if you're out for a Christmas Day walk the weather should be quite nice with sunny spells. Christmas Day evening will be dry with skies still overcast and cloudy, with temperatures falling to around 3°C. Winds will be very light in the evening and on into the night. One of the more milder Christmas's of recent times without temperatures getting near freezing.

Boxing Day - The early hours of Boxing Day will be dry with temperatures cooler, at around 1°C. Again a similar day to Christmas day, with sunshine, clouds and then showers from the evening. A cloudy start to the morning with temperatures slightly cooler at 2-3°C. The afternoon will be much of the same, with the outside chance of some showery outbreaks, temperatures not getting above 4°C. The evening will bring higher temperatures, rising to 7°C by 9pm, however a band of rain will move into the region giving showers, some heavy at times. It will turn quite windy in the evening and overnight with the potential for it to be quite gusty at times. Temperatures will stay warm overnight, with heavy overnight rain from 10pm.
